
Located to the north of Majorca, in the centre of the bay of Alcudia, it has much to offer to its visitors.

Every Friday morning, there is a market in Can Picafort and is located between the harbour and the Son Bauló beach.

Its extensive fine white sand beach, is ideal to sunbathe and to refresh yourself in its transparent and clear waters. The blue flag, that is granted every year by the FEE, is the greatest security of quality that can be given to a beach.

For the nature lovers, a few minutes from the Can Picafort beach, we have an important and well-conserved example of the Majorcan coastline: Son Real beaches, a protected area along the coast, alongside sand dunes with a well-developed plant life.
In Can Picafort there is the greatest concentration of archaeological remains of all the island of Majorca. There are officially more than 150 recognized historical remains, and all of them cover a great prehistorical importance.
There are two protected zones of great value, that we recommend you to visit: Necròpolis de Son Real and Natural Park of S’Albufera .

The Son Real Necrópolis is located within the Son Real nature area, beside the sea and extends to the neighbouring isle known as “Illa dels Porros”. It is a stroll by foot of about 20 minutes from Can Picafort beach in direct contact with unspoilt nature, where you can sunbathe in any of the small virgin beaches.
One of the theories concerning this necropolis is that, it may have been the burial place of a dominant sector of a community characterized by numerous offerings and rituals.



One of the few nature Reserves of Spain and internationally protected.
It is an ancient lake separated from the sea by a line of dunes and marshlands, and in the heart of nature, you can observe the notable richness of birds, fish and rarest plants.
The great variety of vegetation, provides the food and refuge for many animals.
